These new arrivals may have missed out on Top Tables 2019 Official Selection, but they have serious potential for future years.

BK Magazine's Top Tables is an independent ranking of Bangkok's 100 best restaurants, as voted by a panel of industry experts with zero interference from sponsors. From an original list of 200 places, they vote each one out of five stars, in addition to providing us with their personal top 10. From those insights, we keep only the top 100 ranked restaurants, which we call the Official Selection (See How is Top Tables made?).

Though we apply a formula to make sure that restaurants are not heavily penalized due to lack of awareness, new restaurants can have a tough time breaking through in what's a very competitive market. That's why this year we included a list of Bangkok's best new restaurants that didn't make the Official Selection. Think of these as honorable mentions. They may not be Top Tables just yet, but they have serious potential for future years. Below we've updated the list to also include the hottest new restaurants to open since the guide came out in March—that's how quickly Bangkok's dining scene is moving!
