A complete rebrand for a restaurant that’s been on the scene for nearly seven decades.
A Bangkok staple since 1958, anything that happens at Le Normandie is a big deal for Bangkok’s French fine dining fans. The restaurant announced yesterday that they would be unveiling their revamped restaurant on Sep 20.

The big news back in April was that the restaurant would be bringing in Anne-Sophie Pic, and now they’ve officially rebranded as Anne-Sophie Pic at Le Normandie

But it’s not just the menu. Le Normandie is coming in hot with a full redesign from designers Humbert & Poyet, going for what looks to be a more opulent, soft gold look to compliment the views over the river.

This will be Anne-Sophie’s first Thailand restaurant, and according to the press release regarding the rebrand, diners can expect the cuisine to be led by the concept of “suffusion”. The celebrated chef is perhaps most well known for her three Michelin starred Maison Pic in Valence.

Anne-Sophie—the most Michelin-starred female chef in the world—takes over for Alain Roux who himself replaced Arnaud Dunand after nine years in that kitchen; Arnaud has since gone on to open the celebrated Maison Dunand.

The restaurant is currently open for reservations, and foodies wanting to stay abreast of updates should take note that their Instagram has moved to a new account.

Le Normandie, which retained its one Michelin star at last year’s celebration, is found at the Mandarin Oriental, originally The Oriental which opened in 1876.
