The US Embassy in Bangkok presents American Restaurant Week from May 19-26 offering lots of free dishes and discounts at some 20 restaurants, such as a 15% discount at Firehouse (Sukhumvit Soi 11) or a 30% discount at La Tavola (Renaissance) while other participating restaurants include Roadhouse BBQ, New York Steakhouse, and Superbdog. Scalini

Scalini rolls out Italian wines paired with Italian dishes whipped up by Chef Egidio Latorraca on May 22 at 7pm. You’ll be starting off at the lounge, Mondo, for tapas dishes before settling down at Scalini for five courses (B2,800) such as Japanese scallop ceviche with red onion, and apple and caviar and Piedmont white asparagus risotto with quail saltimbocca and porcini mushrooms. Wines are selected from three Italian wineries, Carpineto Winery, Garofoli Winery and Fattoria Mantellassi Winery.

Red Oven

Looking for a place to celebrate Argentina's Independence Day? Red Oven has got you covered with a two-day brunch (from B1,400) and dinner (from B1,200) on May 24-25. Some of the dishes include Sorrentino with ham and mozzarella ravioli while there will also be a big BBQ station.

Seafood lovers rejoice with No. 43’s wine dinner on May 27-31 (6-10:30pm). Chef Sebastien Schneider will be offering six courses (B1,600 or B2,200 with wines) with dishes like lobster and avocado cone, lobster ravioli and lobster gratin.

Dee Lounge

This wine tasting event at Dee Lounge on May 29 (6-9pm) will see five wines up for tasting, all from Australia’s Stonefish Wines, before you can purchase any glass you like at B150. There will be free canapés served for three hours.

Bangers

Every month, Bangers will be launching a new dish called the Celeb Dog, which will be created by celebrities. The first one of the lot comes from singer and DJ Joni Anwar and comprises herbed pork sausage, laab-style onion jam, red onion, spring onion and poppy seed buns (B220 with B20 going to the Soi Dog Charity). Available until the end of this month.

Four Seasons

Four Seasons is currently hosting a Pop-Up Charcuterie Room which is available on Mon-Sat from 5pm at Parichart Court. You can expect well-sourced charcuterie plates paired with wines (wine by the glass ranges from B320-B1,190): The 3 Hams (B840) which comes with prosciutto, jamón Ibérico and jambon de bayonne or a fine plate of sun-dried tomatoes (B200). There will also be various kinds of olives available such as olive di cerignola, kalamata pdo and olive nere al forno. Available until end of July.
