The Speakeasy

Perched atop the Hotel Muse Bangkok, The Speakeasy takes you back to the jazz age of the roaring 1920s. The two-story space sports a prohibition-era inspired décor, featuring lots of dark woods and Art Deco touches. A balcony on the 24th floor lets you take in 180-degree views of Bangkok’s business district, while an al fresco rooftop offers a more leisurely ambiance in a terrace atmosphere.

Gramercy Park

The new and cozy Gramercy takes its inspiration from a New York park of the same name. In keeping with the lush concept of downstairs neighbor Above Eleven, it features lots of bright furniture in a garden vibe, plus graffiti by local artists. This is one charming place to get you in the mood of romance if food is your not your main intention that day, as the place serves up only ceviche, sushi and drinks. Signature dishes include the tiraditos octopus with white onions and olive oil (B470), spider roll (B320 for six pieces) before you sip a glass of Summer Jardin (Grey Goose, cherry blossom syrup, lime and grapefruit juice, B350).

Above Eleven

Above Eleven serves Peruvian-Japanese fusion fare, known as Nikkei cuisine, along with a refreshing list of cocktails made from Peruvian Pisco. There’s a long open bar in the center that’s surrounded by fake grass and tree-shaped lamps, and leads out to the outdoor space which features lots of adorable wooden seating.

Park Society

For a real breath of fresh air and a park view to boot then you should head up to Park Society on the 29th floor of the super trendy Sofitel So. Inside is for fine dining with an impressive menu of international cuisine or get out on the terrace for a little canoodling.

Scarlett

Located on the 37th floor of the Pullman Hotel G, Scarlett is an elegant—and delicious—wine bistro surrounded by glass on all sides, offering sweeping views of lower Silom and the river. Despite its good looks, the vibe remains fairly casual, thanks to the big central bar and chalkboard menus. The spot we think would make a good intimate scene between you two is the terrace with the bar seating looking over to the city view. Plus, they offer extensive and pretty affordable wine list to get your night going.

Heaven

Up above Zen is Heaven where it houses many restaurants from Zense, international cuisine with lounge atmosphere to Shintori, Japanese restaurant under the interior designed by Duangrit Bunnag. But what we recommend is dining at any restaurant and end your night at Heaven Champagne & Cocktail Bar at the very top of the building as they offer G.H. Mumm Cordon Rouge Brut Champagne at only B4,369.
