Black Ivory Coffee Stout Release and Fundraiser

This Feb 22 at Mikkeller is the world release party for the new Mikkeller Black Ivory Coffee Stout, brewed with the world’s rarest and most expensive coffee, from Black Ivory Coffee. On top of a 30-liter keg on tap from 5pm, there will be a limited amount of 750ml bottles, nitro and syphon coffee. The total profits will be donated to the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation.

Two Michelin-Starred Italian Chef at Wine Pub

Wine Pub welcomes Italian chef Valentino Marcattilii from two-Michelin-starred San Domenico in Bologna this Feb 22-25. You’ll have a chance to sample some of the restaurant’s classics including the San Domenico egg in raviolo (raviolo with an oozing egg yolk) among other home-style traditional Italian dishes. The chef’s profile also includes three stars from New York Times for the New York branch. B3,999 net for a four-course set menu; B5,199 net for a five-course set menu (including the egg in raviolo).

Thailand Coffee Fest 2017

From Feb 23-26, Specialty Coffee Association of Thailand (SCATH) organizes Thailand’s biggest coffee event at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The event showcases full circle of coffee business, from coffee roasters, machines to shops and franchises. Coffee lovers can taste various coffee, take home some beans from more than 100 stores as well as attend workshops and seminars during the event. There are competitions and award presentations, too. Bangkok Gourmet Festival 2017

The first Bangkok Gourmet Festival gathers Thai and international chefs, collectively owning a total of 10 Michelin stars. At the event, you’ll get to taste some bite-size flavors from 40 of Bangkok’s leading restaurants including J’aime by Jean-Michel Lorain, Ginza Sushi Ichi, Osha, Savelberg, Iron Chef Table, Rossini’s, Lenzi and Benjarong. What’s more, there’ll also be workshops by chefs Alvin Leung of one-Michelin-starred Bo Innovation in Hong Kong, Curtis Duffy of three-Michelin-starred Grace in Chicago, Guillaume Galliot of The Tasting Room in Macau. Fireplace Grill welcomes French chef Jean-Marc Banzo this Mar 1-2. His six-course wine dinner (B8,000/person) showcases the likes of pissaladiere with black olives from Nyons, roasted milk-fed lamb rack with thyme and smoked duck breast with artichoke ravioli, alongside wine like Chateau Ormes de Pez – Saint Estephe 2010, Domaine Christian Moreau Chablis 2014 and Château Guiraud, Sauternes – Graves 2008.
