Italian fine dining institution Sensi is bringing chef Nicolas Joanny back to Bangkok for a one-night-only, France-meets-Italy four-hands dinner. The globetrotting chef had a hugely successful four-year stint at Le Vendome until 2007, when he left Bangkok for Singapore to open his eponymous Nicolas. He'll be joining Sensi's chef Stefano Merlo for a five-course wine-pairing dinner (B3,200).

Now in its second year, the collaboration between Wine Garage and Tastes of Austria will take over 20 Bangkok restaurants, including 100 Mahaseth, About Eatery, Appia, Char, Cocotte, Funky Lam, Le Du and many more. On Nov 7, the festivities will include Rock Me Amadeus, a schnitzelfest at Crystal Box in Gaysorn Village featuring a four-course meal by Austrian chef Felix Shellhorn, DJs, a special violin performance and, of course, Austrian wines (B2,500/person, 064-904-1963).

Three nights of special dinners with chef Gianni Tarabini of one-Michelin-starred La Fiorida in Mantello, Lombardy, close to the Italian-Swiss border. He specializes in Italian cuisine by combining tradition with innovation and using seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients. Back for its fourth year, this boozy festival will offer up over 250 beers and ciders from over 50 breweries from across 19 countries. As well as beer, you can expect food ranging from burgers to Thai street-food, plus music from local bands and DJs including Polycat (Nov 8), Playground and Portrait (Nov 9). Tickets are available via Ticketmelon priced at B499 for one day (including one drink, or B799 for both days (including three drinks). Tickets on the door will be priced at B599/day.

Phloen Chit’s Mexican mainstay La Monita is celebrating its 10th birthday with a huge block party. For B1,200 (or B1,500 on the night), you can expect free-flow drinks (7-9pm) and food (6-10pm) from La Monita, Billy’s Smokehouse, Osito Tapas and Thai Niyom. The bash will also feature live music from local reggae legends Ample Soul and T-Bone and the kings of Thai hip hop, Thaitanium.
