All of BK’s restaurant reviews for March 2019
From heavenly hummus to mixed-bag Mexican, here are the restaurants we ranked out of ★★★★★ this month.
Food reviews remain one of the most-loved (and controversial) parts of BK Magazine. We run two restaurant reviews every issue that are conducted completely anonymously. We pay for our food. We don’t listen to the spiel from the owners or PR. And we write bluntly about what we think. Sometimes they piss people off. For more on BK's review policy, click here.
Over the past month we've enjoyed heavenly hummus from a Thonglor hole-in-the-wall, discovered a touristy Italian restaurant we actually kinda love, revisited a Spanish institution on Sukhumvit and found mixed results at a new Mexican restaurant in Sathorn. See all of our reviews, listed according to star rating, below.
"Without being too effusive, this Turkish joint knows exactly what it’s doing and does it well. With the delicious food and welcoming service, it’s almost impossible to not become a regular customer."
"We’ve been in restaurants costing three times the price that could learn something."
"While there are no doubt cooler, more refined Spanish restaurants, this friendly, family-run Asoke mainstay is not without its charms."
"It’s just a shame that La Lupita is wildly inconsistent where it matters: food."
