With Bangkok nightlife getting more expensive by the day, we dropped by 11 of the city's most popular bars to find out how much they charge for this most ubiquitous of drinks, and whether that price is justified. (*All 330ml bottles unless otherwise stated)

1. Play Yard by Studio Bar, B120 for a large 630ml bottle!

Pros: Live music nearly every day of the week, spicy gab glaem
Cons: Way out in Lad Prao.

2. Cheap Charlies, B70

Pros: The "colorful" clientele, Alchemist Bar a few steps away.
Cons: The rest of Soi 11.

3. Jam, B100

Pros: Edgy exhibitions, Wednesday cult movie night and a pair of adorable resident dogs.
Cons: Backpacker vibe, miles from the next bar.

4. Tep Bar, B110

Pros: The raw shop-house charm and live luk krung music.
Cons: Everything else on the menu is kind of pricy.

5. Parking Toys, B130

Pros: Eclectic live music, the head-spinning Marrakesh-inspired decor.
Cons: You're stuck on the dark side of Ekkamai.

6. WTF, B140

Pros: The exhibitions upstairs, stimulating chatter of Thonglor's cool crowds.
Cons: Those same cool crowds.

7. Studio Lam, B150

Pros: The bumper lineup of DJs spinning everything from mo lam to Afrobeat.
Cons: There's often a cover charge.

9. Wine Bibber, B180

Pros: Weekly events from some of Bangkok's most prolific party organizers, close to BTS.
Cons: Cheap buckets can bring out the worst in people.
