Under the theme From Classic to Contemporary: A Lively Animation Collection, the festival selects 10 pictures including Studio Gibli’s The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Franz Kafka’s A Country Doctor by Kōji Yamamura to be screened over four days from Feb 20-23 at Lido (Siam Square, 02-251-1727). An anime by Makoto Shinkai about aspiring shoemaker Takao who keeps bumping into a mysterious woman whenever it rains.

A Letter to Momo (Thai Subtitles, Feb 22, 5:30pm)
Hiroyuki Okiura's anime narrates 11-year-old girl Momo's struggle to cope with the sudden change after her father passed away.
