FAIRS: Pronto Carnival

For the lovers of all things denim, Pronto Denim returns with its fourth "carnival" under the theme "World Racing Day," taking shelter under the tents at Parc Paragon. Expect a lineup of over 12 brands of jeans, including Nudie, Naked and Famous, Japan Blue, Momotaro Jeans, Iron Heart and Wear House.

FILM SCREENINGS: Science Film Festival

Goethe Institut is holding its eleventh annual festival to promote science and technology through fun, entertaining film screenings. This year, a total of 23 short films will be screened under the theme of “light”and covers a range of topics such as how to create your own rainbow, the development of photography, the secret behind neon signs and many more.

THEATER: Bangkok Theatre Festival

For 13 years, this festival has drawn in more performers, directors and theater lovers than any other theater event in the country. To celebrate the country’s rising theater troupes, 12 days of performances will be held under the theme “New View, New Eyes,” packed with over 70 performances across all genres, as well as improv workshops and post-show discussions. ART: A Girl of November

Thai artist Tinna Hongngam presents her striking and thought-provoking embroidered fabric on the theme of gender-based violence. The exhibition will display alongside a series of discussions, screenings and presentations to raise awareness for International Violence Against Women's Day on Nov 25.

NIGHTLIFE: Delicate Decibel 

Two days filled with electronic music from international artists as diverse as Grammy award nominated Todd Terry (USA), Bottlesmoker (Indonesia) and Lafidki (Cambodia), along with a music workshop and closing party at Jam Cafe.

ART: Under the Bridge

Photographer Andrew McNeill presents his latest works, consisting of dramatic black-and-white portraits that he has captured over the past year while engaging with homeless people on the streets of his hometown, Cardiff, Wales. The exhibition will also be part of Galleries Night Bangkok.

SPORTS: Music Run

A 5km fun run where the track is split into five music zones at each kilometer, including rock, pop, old school, hip hop and dance. Songs are pre-voted by participants before the event. MARKETS: TGIF Market

A retro shopping playground, under the theme “Back to School.”  Expect some 150 stalls selling brands such as Something Boudoir, Pink by Pink, Mywishlist and Basics by Sita, plus food stalls from Salmon House, Oyster Bay Bangkok and Patisserie Rosie. In keeping with the theme, vendors will also be wearing student uniforms, accompanied by a throwback ‘90s soundtrack.

SPORTS: TMB ING Park Run

TMB and ING Banking Asia have collaborated to organize a mini-marathon for charity, under the theme "You have the power... make the difference." All proceeds will be donated to the Cardiac Children Foundation to help provide operations for children in need. Distances offered are 10km, 4.5 km and 2km, and the run stretches across Chatuchak, Vachirabenjatas and HM Queen Sirikit parks.

FAIRS: A Day Bike Fest

A Day Magazine returns with the city’s biggest bike festival, this time under the concept of “Tour de World” which celebrates the rising trend of people travelling internationally by bicycle. Expect over 200 shops selling bicycles and bicycle-related products, booth selling bike-friendly travel destinations and tours, plenty of biking demonstrations, test-rides and competitions, mini concerts from well-known artists and plenty more.

The Dutch DJ duo, known for their hits "Cannonball" and "Booyah", which reached no. 5 in the UK singles chart, perform all their latest EDM and progressive house tracks. Tickets on sale on the day.

FILM SCREENINGS: 13th World Film Festival Bangkok

For its 13th year, the city’s biggest film festival is back to showcase the best works of emerging independent filmmakers from Asia and beyond, and to unite all film-lovers for screenings, workshops, masterclasses and discussions. To mark the launch of the ASEAN Economic Community, this year’s films are under the theme of “ASEAN Citizen” with highlights including Kongdej Jaturanrasamee’s Snap, Jakrawal Nilthamrong’s Vanishing Point, Li Shih’s Almost Heaven and Morshedul Islam’s A Day In The Life Of Anil Bagshi.

MUSIC FESTIVALS: Cat Expopo Tamus

Four stages of music from indie bands such as Goose, Polycat, Monomania, Jelly Rocket and Greasy Cafe as well as veterans like Flure, Thaitanium, Modern Dog Paradox and Crescendo. Stalls selling Thai records and handmade products, plus free screenings complete the event.

NIGHTLIFE: Fedde Le Grand @ Onyx

You might know him best from his massive hit “Put Your Hands Up 4 Detriot” way back in 2006, but the Dutch house DJ has remained huge in the EDM scene, securing a spot in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs list for eight years now. Uniting contemporary dancers from over ten countries, along with free workshops and an entire week of free masterclasses. A shopping and activity-filled festival, featuring stalls from 120 brands that range from vintage wear to handmade clothing, plus workshop booths from the likes of Paint Bar and Puppy Leaf. A seven-hour festival filled with seven types of house music spread across seven zones, including deep house, tech house, French house, classic US house, Latin/afro house, disco house, jackin house, tropical house and future house.

The uber-popular market of the Old Town returns, bringing together all sorts of handmade, arts and craft stalls, home decor products, cassette and vinyl stores, pop-up book shops plus food and drinks. Bangkok Underground Film Festival, a new platform for independent and DIY filmmakers, is also set to launch at the open-air amphitheater.

Under an "American Indian" theme, this festival brings with it plenty of stalls selling handcraft products, photography, graphic illustrations, cycling, and food. FILM SCREENINGS: EVAWG Film Festival

Bangkok’s first ever End Violence Against Women and Girls film festival will screen nine feature films and documentaries from eight countries around the world, all of which focus on important gender-based issues such as domestic violence, child marriages, sexual harassment and more. All screenings are free.

ART:  Kilombu Chapter 1

An original art show by Cecê Nobre who is transforming the entirety of Training Ground warehouse into 1,200 square meters of painted murals inspired by the island nation of Kilombu and the exotic culture of its tribes. Along with the artworks on display, there will also be bodyart workshops, physical performance art shows, prize giveaways, food trucks and beer.

MUSIC FESTIVALS: River Jazz Festival

A night of jazz music by the river from Lisa Ono, the woman responsible for bringing Brazilian bossa nova music to the Japanese scene, and jazz fusion group Spyro Gyra, known for their hit songs “Morning Dance,” “Shaker Song” and “Café Amore.” There will also be food trucks from Cactus, Forkers, Orn the Road, and Deli Q, to name a few.
