New contemporary art center Gillman Barracks opens in Singapore this Saturday
On September 15, the conserved Gillman Barracks named after a British General will reopen to launch 13 acclaimed gallery brands from around the world.
Gillman Barracks, a new centre for the contemporary arts in Singapore, will open on September 15, launching 13 renowned gallery names from around the world such as the Sundaram Tagore Gallery Singapore, Silverlens and Space Cottonseed.
Located at Lock Road, Gillman Barracks promotes active participation in and discussion on the contemporary arts, with the Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA) opening in 2012 set to include international artist residency and exhibition programs.
Gillman Barracks will also house great dining establishments such as Masons, Timbre @ Gillman and the Naked Finn.
