POSTPONED: Foals is coming back to Bangkok this March
UPDATE: Bangkok Fest has been postponed
UPDATE: On Feb 5, the organizers of Bangkok Fest announced they would postpone the event, citing the coronavirus outbreak in Thailand, and refunding tickets in full via www.eventpop.me. Eventpop will automatically refund credit and debit card purchases, and those who paid by K-Plus will receive instructions for receiving their refunds via email. The statement from the organizer also notes that the new event date will be revealed soon.
UK math rock powerhouse Foals have just announced that they will be performing at Bangkok Fest on Mar 1.
The band made its Bangkok debut at Moonstar Studio in August last year. They were slated to play at another upcoming festival that was recently canceled, so this appearance is effectively a make-up show.
The festival line-up had previously featured 40 Thai acts, including Slot Machine, Bomb At Track, The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band and Rattanakosin Breakin Crew, performing across four stages. Foals certainly adds some firepower to that bill of solid local bands. Even better, pre-sale tickets for the two-day fest (Feb 29-Mar 1) are priced at only B1,500 via Eventpop.
The band had a busy 2019, releasing Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1 in March and its follow-up, Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2, in October. Those albums collectively yielded three singles that cracked the top 100 on the UK charts: “Exits,” “In Degrees” and “The Runner.”
