Sony Ericsson is now just plain Sony. And the first phone post-rebrand, the Sony Xperia S, has just arrived in Bangkok. It’s not difficult to love the Xperia S thanks to its blocky monolithic-style design and an impressive scratch-resistant 4.3-inch BRAVIA screen featuring approximately 342 pixels per inch (comparable to iPhone 4S’s Retina Display). Inside, we see specifications that are slightly higher than other phones on the market, including a 12MP camera with flash and dual-core 1.5GHz processor (iPhone 4S and Galaxy S2 have 8MP and 1.2GHz dual-core), as well as 1,080p HD video, 10-finger multi touch, 32GB internal storage and 3G compatibility. Now only it came with the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (it only runs Android 2.3). B17,990, www.facebook.com/sonymobileth
