We have to confess that we haven’t had any jaw-dropping moments when it comes to phones by Sony Ericsson. (We even suggested they fire their designers.) But that was all before the Xperia Arc which comes with a super thin (8.7mm), sleek shape, a 4.2-inch touchscreen (854 x 480 pixels), 8MP camera and Android 2.3 OS. What they want us to be excited about is its new Exmor R sensor that makes shooting photos in the dark possible. We haven’t got our hands on one yet, but we are looking forward to having a play.
