Some of Bangkok’s best kitchens are donating pasta profits to Italy earthquake relief

Bangkok’s Italian restaurant community are banding together to help the Italy earthquake relief.
Last month’s 6.2-magnitude earthquake in central Italy killed 292 people and caused severe damage to Amatrice, the birthplace of pasta all’amatriciana (tomato sauce with guanciale [pork jowl] and pecorino cheese).
Italian food blogger Paulo Campana came up with the novel idea of raising support for the stricken area by donating 2 euros from each serving of the famous pasta to the Italian Red Cross, and the movement has spread internationally.
In Bangkok, some of the best Italian kitchens are joining the initiative by pledging to donate B100 from every plate of pasta all’amatriciana sold. You can eat yummy pasta for a good cause at Appia, Peppina, Vesper, La Bottega di Luca, Il Fumo, Pizza Massilia, Seven Spoons and Lenzi.
Some venues will continue the campaign until the end of the month, though others may end it much earlier, so it's best to call ahead.
