Chef David Hartwig takes inspiration from the forest for his new 4-course sharing experience at the Michelin-starred Igniv Bangkok.

Noting the romance of the changing of the seasons, Hartwig, who moved to Zurich when he was a teenager, notes that his biologist father would take him into the forest to forage for mushrooms and that their neighbor would share game meat from hunting trips in autumn.

The new menu includes seasonal ingredients from the chef’s childhood, including root vegetables, and the game bird meat and eggs are sourced locally from an independent quail farmer in Ubon Ratchathani.

Fresh off their vegetarian menu with guest chef Timo Fritsche from Oz that ended last week, the new autumn menu at Igniv is available for lunch and dinner, Thursdays to Mondays, for B4,500.
