McDonald's hops on the artisanal burger bandwagon with Siam pop-up
The global burger empire heads in a not-quite-so-fast food direction.
Under pressure from artisanal competitors, global burger empire McDonald’s is branching out in a not-quite-so-fast food direction.
The new My Burger pop-up store (1/F, E Square, CentralWorld, Rama 1 Rd.) claims to serve up better-quality burgers, available with two patty options: Australian angus beef (B119) and kurobuta pork with spicy namtok sauce (B109).
Here, you can add toppings like lettuce, fried egg, shallots and mushroom for B10 each, as well as bacon and cheese at B15 each. Switching the bun to a black one costs you B10 while adding an extra patty is B49 for pork or B59 for beef.
The My Burger customized menu will eventually be rolled at over 100 McDonald's branches around the country.
