After a period of relative quiet, Sathorn’s New American restaurant-slash-bar Bunker has roared back into life with a new bartender, new tasting menu and a packed schedule of events throughout August.

First up is an American Summer flavors-themed five-course dinner (B1,500/person) on Aug 8-10, followed by a five-course dinner (B1,500/person) in honor of Mother’s Day on Aug 12. Then, the new face behind the bar, Wareewan “Oil” Yodkamol (formerly of Freebird), announces her arrival on Aug 17 with crafty cocktails all at B260.

Following that, Aug 22 sees chef Arnie Marcella team up with chef Tim Butler of Eat Me to serve a nine-course set menu, including Kenka-style charred mackerel, grilled abalone congee with Chinese sausage, and veal agnolotti with parmigianino reggiano, with wine pairings devised by sommelier Andreas Pergher (B5,750/person).

You can also drop by any day for the new four-course set menu, dubbed “Market Tastings” (B1,200), which sees chef Marcella craft your meal from 100-percent Thai products sources from the market that day.
