This culinary wizard is one of just two chefs to hold 21 Michelin stars throughout his career.

Culinary wizard Alain Ducasse has long been teasing us with hints at his first restaurant in Thailand, set to open at IconSiam. Details have been scant—until now.

Blue by Alain Ducasse is set to open by the end of the year. It will be helmed by executive chef Wilfrid Hocquet, a French native who has a long resume of stints at Michelin-starred kitchens ranging from Daniel in New York to three-Michelin-starred Le Louis XV by Alain Ducasse in France.

Though they’ve been tight lipped when it comes to further information, the food is set to honor Thai produce while still bringing the best of the French cuisine, while the restaurant is currently seeking staff and a top sommelier—fancy a job anyone?

With over 30 restaurants around the world, Alain Ducasse is one of the world’s most celebrated French chefs. He's known for breaking Michelin records and is one of only two chefs whose restaurants have notched as many as 21 stars. Expect Blue to live up to the legendary French chef’s lofty standards.

Meanwhile, Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse looks to be coming along nicely over near Chit Lom.
