Flavors continues the elegant, contemporary decor of its hotel. Though relatively small, this buffet restaurant covers pretty much all you could hope for. Aside from the fresh seafood on ice, sushi and sashimi, there are stations serving up carvings, pastas, Thai and Indian offerings. The real highlight may be the dessert station, which covers traditional Thai sweets alongside cakes, mousses and ice cream. Dinner costs B1,872 net on Sun-Thu or B2,472 net on Fri-Sat.

Goji Kitchen + Bar at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park
As large as the main buffet restaurant in Bangkok’s largest hotel should be, Goji Kitchen & Bar comprises more than 10 stations spread across one side of the dining room. The focus is mostly on live stations that serve your food as fresh as possible, starting with fresh oysters, shucked on-site, seafood on ice as well as Japanese sushi and sashimi. The salad and cold cuts bar features highly-prized Iberico and Parma ham, with a selection of cheese, pickles and fruits. There’s a big Asian station, too, covering Chinese, Indian and Thai dishes, including the super-tasty braised beef noodles. The meat counter sits in front of a parrilla grill, which results in crispy-skin suckling pig with very tender meat. You can also get pasta cooked a la minute, as well as foie gras and baked seafood. This buffet restaurant's attempts to take you on a dining journey around the world with dishes plucked from French, Japanese, Indian and Chinese cuisines. Available both on buffet counters and a la carte menu, the vast offerings span fresh seafood, sushi and meats to other local specialties, cooked directly from the open kitchen. Luxurious and elegant, Colonnade almost makes you want to dress your best to match the atmosphere. The spread is truly impressive, with original touches like the multitude of cured and smoked salmons. Of course, expect the requisite feast of foie gras, oysters, lobsters and fine cheeses. This brunch also enjoys a very nice crowd—and you know how important it is to be with civilized guests at a buffet. At night, with its expansive views of the Chao Phraya River, the setting is wonderful and the service is impeccable. But Lord Jim’s is better known for its excellent buffet lunch than its dinner menu. (Note that even on Sundays, they don’t call it a brunch per se.) Prepare to gorge on the best lobsters, oysters and crabs the sea has to offer. B1,825 net for lunch daily.
