Designed by the award-winning design house Shelley Kwok (Siri House, Rongros, Long Chim Singapore), Bang Bang’s bright, dive bar-like concept is filled with in-your-face colors, neon lights, and loads of Americana. Try the Iron Mike (B165), a smash burger featuring Hawaiian bread, a crispy beef patty, American cheese, and sauteed onions.

Smizzle Burger
Nestled inside Bambini Villa, this flashy-ketchup-and-mustard-painted diner lures you in with more than its fun design. Smizzle joins the city’s exclusive cadre of smash burger specialists, serving crispy-edged patties cooked on a piping-hot griddle between buttery buns. The shop uses locally sourced beef—300-day grain-fed, hormone-free, never-frozen Charolais, to be precise. Order the Oklahoma (B220), seeing double smashed patties with loads of onion, double cheese, dill pickle, and garlic and onion sauce.
Bambini Villa, 18 Attha Kawi Soi 1. Open Mon 10:30am-8pm; Wed-Fri 10:30am-8pm; Sat-Sun 10am-8pm. Tel. 062-419-9190
Easy Burger
On Nut's Easy Burger specializes in the good old smash technique, and you know the drill—thin patty with crispy edges and a juicy center. The cheeseburger (B195) features organic local beef, dry-aged for 28 days and sandwiched in a milk bun with double cheese, shallots, “special” sauce, lettuce, mustard and pickles (B125), while the Bacon Blue (B215) comes loaded with gorgonzola, maple bacon jam, homemade ranch and pickles. Add an extra patty for B65, or make it a set with fries or chips starting at B280. Wash it all down with a chocolate shake (B130).
18/6 Sukhumvit Soi 50. Open daily 11am-11:30pm. Tel. 099-007-0020
Prime Burger
Halfway between Asoke and Phrom Phong, this burger joint not only bears a logo similar to beloved NY-based burger chain Shake Shack, it also busts out remarkably familiar-looking smashed patties in a narrow space fitted out with patterned tiles and black brick walls. Burgers (all B245 single/B295 double/B375 triple) are stylized by city, from the classic New York (Australian beef, cheese, onions, pickles, ketchup and mayo) to the Dubai (chicken, cheese, lettuce, onions, tomato, Prime sauce) and the Tokyo (deep-fried fish, lettuce, tomato, cheese, onions, tartar sauce).
497 Sukhumvit Rd. Open daily 11am-1am. Tel. 093-583-8700
Stax
Formerly at
The Commons, Stax (759 Sukhumvit Soi 55) is now available via Grab since the Covid-era closing of Saphan 55. With their thin, perfectly seared beef sandwiched in lightly toasted square buns, burgers here are more like sliders and are reminiscent of White Castle. Go for the best-selling Stax cheeseburger (B129), which comes with beef or pork, topped with grilled onions, dill pickles, mustard, ketchup and cheese. Their super affordable combos are surefire winners—Set A (B220) includes two classic burgers and fries. You’ll also find jalapeno poppers (B60/four pieces) and crispy chicken nuggets (B50/five pieces) on the menu.
Available for order via Grab
Little Market
Formerly a single-unit shophouse down the small alley of Charoenkrung Soi 28, Little Market has expanded its little home to a permanent spot in Soi Yen Akat and recently at Central Chidlom’s public market. Drop by for the yummy steak burger (B199) made with two 270-day grain-fed Australian Black Angus patties, smashed for a crispy crust, garlic pickled, onions, and mustard.

Madbuns Burger
One of the most recent additions to Bangkok’s burger scene, Madbuns Burger serves simple quality burgers in a size that you can probably eat two at a time. One burger will set you back at B119, but for B249 you can go for a Mad Burger Set that comes with two burgers of your choice and a pick of curly or waffle fries. Try Mad Cheese Burger (B249), featuring double beef patty, housemade yellow mustard, pickles, American cheese onion or Mad Chicken Buffalo, using buttermilk fried chicken, coleslaw, house pickles, and spicy buffalo sauce.
Available for online order via Grab, Robinhood, and Line Man only.
