Two prominent culinary gems in Isaan are cooking a two-day collab next month from Sep 17-18.
After Michelin’s
announcement that it will include Isaan in its 2023 regional edition, perhaps no Isaan spot has generated more buzz than Samuay and Sons, the contemporary Isaan-Thai restaurant located in Udon Thani where foraged ingredients receive a proper spotlight.
The two chefs from
Samuay and Sons—Weerawat “Num” and Worawut “Joe” Triyasenawat—are teaming up with Khon Kaen’s up-and-coming casual dining spot
I Kaen, which opened earlier this year and has been accumulating buzz ever since.
Dubbed “Kin D Mee Heng” (good food, good luck), the eight-course menu promises a bold take on their neo-Isaan cuisine which focuses on the food’s presentation and promoting wellness. The course is priced at B2,500 and hosts two rounds per day at 12pm and 6pm.
