Dig into a Lao feast.
Apart from teaming up with brunch-favorite cafe Luka Bangkok for “Isolated but Never Alone”—an initiative that sends out free meals to those who are feeling blue—Thonglor's fiery Lao restaurant, Funky Lam, is delivering awesome set menus.
Options include the Lao Bento Box (B250), which contains a mammoth line-up of sai oua (northern Thai sausage), kai pen (crunchy fried riverweed from Luang Prabang), lin seen (braised ox tongue), a larb of your choice (duck, rainbow trout, or Australian wagyu beef), sticky rice, jaew sohm and a selection of fresh vegetables; the Khao Soi Set (B350), featuring eight-hour braised lamb shank with jaew bong (Lao chilli paste), tum taeng kak moo (spicy Lao-style cucumber salad with fermented fish sauce and fried pork skin) and a soft drink of your choice; and the Funky Diner Set (B850, plus B140 for two bottles of Beerlao), comprised of a grilled half organic baby chicken, two packs of sticky rice and a soup or larb and salad of your choice. Check out the full delivery menu here.
They're also offering 15 percent off on take-away orders, free delivery within a five-kilometer radius (Asoke to Phra Khanong) and free delivery across Bangkok on orders over B1,000. You can place your order via Line @funkylamkitchen or WhatsApp (099-005-8435) from noon-8pm daily.
