These days, everyone is in a mad scramble to move things online. Brick-and-mortar stores are just now coming back into the fold, but with the shutdown of nearly everything causes by the pandemic, and the realization it could happen again, a lot of brands are rethinking the way they approach customers online.
Another Story, the Bangkok concept store that gathers designer products from all over the world, just recently launched its website and e-shop, and, frankly, this is what a lot of brands should be doing.
First, let’s get the tech superlatives out of the way—it has a clean design, sharp mobile spacing, quick load times, and the journey from seeing something you like and actually buying it is painless. One of our favorite features is the “Instagram Picks” section, which are basically mini-lookbooks (presented IG-style). Click on one of the looks you like, and you can start shifting through the products, from there it’s about two clicks to buying the thing you want.
Shopping the traditional way is just as simple, with the website broken down into sub-sections like you are used to. Finding sub-categories is easy, and we absolutely love the “Bangkokian” section that stocks local designers.
But what takes the website to another level for us (and this is really the part more brands should follow) is the “Stories” section. It’s basically a mini-media website, with all kind of relevant content written about trends, style tips, home decor and other topics to keep your creative juices flowing. It gives us a reason to go back to the website regularly, not just when we want to buy something. The stories do focus on the brand itself, but in a tasteful way, like this piece about how one of the French soap brands has evolved their product over the years.
It’s a straight-up good website if you are shopping for clothes, decor, tech, or just some ideas. Check it out.
