Following the European Union Film Festival last month, this week the Embassy of Sweden together with SF Cinema presents seven films to be screened at the second edition of the Swedish Film Festival from Jun 5-9 at SFX Cinema (6/F, The Emporium, 662 Sukhumvit Soi 24, Bangkok, 02-664-8448. BTS Phrom Phong). Films will be screened in their original language with English subtitles. The lineup is as follows:

Four More Years (2010): When political party leader David Holst unexpectedly loses the federal election, he decides to take a career break, only to fall in love with Martin, who works for the ruling party.  

Happy End (2011): The story of five people all related by affairs. While trying to escape the reality of their lives, they’re all praying for a miracle to give them a happy ending. 

I Miss You (2011): 15-year-old twin sisters Tina and Cilla look very much alike, but are the total opposite in personality. While rushing to catch the school bus, Cilla is hit by a car and killed, leaving Tina to start a new life alone. 

Palme (2012): Documentary detailing the life of Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme up until his assassination in 1986, an event which changed the direction of his country.

Stockholm East (2011): Love story between two strangers who meet after a tragedy. Will their love be strong enough?

Cockpit (2012): After losing his job as a pilot, Valle disguises himself as a woman and gives himself a new name, Maria, in order to apply for another job.

The Crown Jewels (2011): When Fragancia is arrested for attempting to murder the son of a powerful factory owner, the investigation shines new light on her childhood.
