If it wasn't before, it's official now—Tiong Bahru is the place to be. Not content that they've been the driving force of the neighborhood's gentrification with 40 Hands, Tiong Bahru Bakery and Open Door Policy, the Spa Esprit Group has launched a men's grooming concept store called We Need a Hero, which opened its doors in mid-April.

The store on Eng Hoon Street offers a mélange of services including haircuts, shaves, hair removal (on almost every part of the body imaginable), color and even semi-permanent brow enhancement, with prices ranging from $15-1,500. 

The opening of We Need a Hero follows the opening of other men's grooming shops offering a lot more than your typical hot towel shave, like Truefitt & Hill.
