Thai street food, a pizza parlor, a Mediterranean izakaya, and more.

Come rain or shine, one thing Bangkokians can rely on is the non-stop selection of new eateries that pop up every month. Pride might be nearing its end but July will keep the party going with these new spots.

After gaining traction in its original Sathorn location, the pandemic project turned mainstay has expanded into the other side of town. This Ekamai outlet promises the upscaled boiled rice we know but adds an extra emphasis on the cocktail menu. Come during brunch hours on the weekend and explore their glass house zone with ample natural sunlight or visit after office hours where they will play up the vibrant neon lights and upbeat tracks.

Dough Bros

Hailing all the way from Hong Kong, the popular sourdough pizza and donut outlet has settled its first Thai venture in Gaysorn Amarin. Since their ‘za is smaller than your standard size, you can probably finish the entire wheel by yourself. We recommend the parma flavor which uses parma ham that’s imported from Italy. The peppery mushroom sauteed with truffle oil and garlic adds a bed of richness at the bottom, and the fresh rocket on the top keeps things light and takes a bit of guilt away from that hearty meal. Their donuts are served piping hot with hit fillings like nutella and jam.

Feaw

The Racquet Club might be one of Thonglor’s most frequented sport centers. Kids get their first swimming lessons and adults hit the gym or go rock climbing. To keep the post workout hangry crowd at bay, they’ve upped their food game with an in house community dining spot. Leading the charge with Feaw, the team behind R-Haan serves comfort street food like the long lasting crispy deep fried pork wonton or the reliable Kaprao topped with Aussie beef.

Sukhumvit 49/9, 063-956-2778, Open daily 10am-8pm.

Par Ris

This trendy chic cafe is all about the bagels. Introducing a soft fluffy dough instead of the usual dense and chewy texture, Par Ris bagels make an interesting base for sandwiches or a perfect side to dunk into their belly warming tomato soup. Don’t forget to check out their signature pistachio cream coffee with house made pistachio cream and a shot of espresso.

Super Nice Land

Photographer “Non,” who goes by the name Super Very Snapshot, has launched his own “super” kingdom in Udom Suk. Called Super Nice Land, the project serves refreshments, cakes, and curated lifestyle items. Keeping things simple for coffee, they opt for a single “Chocolate Sauce” blend from the famous Sauce Coffee Roaster. The notes lend a mixture of almond, cacao, and toffee. Here, the drinks are designed to taste similar to mocktails, and non-coffee drinkers can request to swap coffee for soda or opt for their green tea selection.

Table of Contents

Set amid the busy streets of Bantadthong—which now boasts tourist and local foodie gems alike—Table of Contents repackages nostalgic Thai street food desserts into European style pastries. The line up of “doughko,” a mash up between the fluffy donut texture and the airy patongko buns, is currently the bestseller, coming with eight Thai-style fillings.

From the minds of Bangkok F&B pioneers comes Sababa, a fusion blend of Mediterranean izakaya tucked away in a home-y lush patch of eden in Thonglor 13. The menu serves innovative twists on comfort, cold, and hot apps—so you can expect everything from fresh oysters to crispy chicken skin. They got seven signature cocktails. Each paying homage to popular vista treats like Parmesan Espresso Martini (B350) and Parma & Melon (B300). Japanese beer, sake, and mocktails are also available on hand.

Having launched two previous successful openings in Huai Khwang and Silom, the beloved Lebanese and Indian joint will be set up in Sathorn Soi 6 just a couple of BTS stations away, but it sure makes a difference when you don’t want to trek back to the office after a big lunch. The upcoming opening will feature the mysterious “flavor meets entertainment” concept and promises an eventful welcoming at the new Al Saray.
