The people behind one of the busiest cafes in Singapore have brought their coffee roasting to the garden of Thai restaurant Kram. Taking over two shipping containers separated by a metal staircase, Sarnies is split into a coffee roasting zone with an industrial-grade roaster, and a stylishly minimal, eight-seater coffee bar. This cafe puts a lot of stock into perfecting its roast profiles, all in view of the customers.

Cheesecakes, kakigori and crumbles provide Phrom Phong’s dessert-seekers with good reason to route out this sleek, bare concrete cafe in a residential neighborhood. But the menu also packs
some full-on meaty flavor courtesy of a dry-aging fridge packed with slabs of US beef. Burgers and chicken waffles make all-day crowd-pleasers, while those after a good cheese-steak won’t be disappointed either.
