Putting two classic cocktails in one glass.

Supawit “Palm” Muttarattana is a name that F&B fans will recognize. On the scene since 2009, Palm has supervised favorite Bangkok nightlife spots—including from the enthralling nightclub Fuchsia to the award winning Vesper. Now, Palm has launched his first solo project at Dry Wave Cocktail Studio.

Inside, the venue pulls inspiration from natural elements, particularly the trees and the ocean. Against the warm lighting, the wall patterns create a rippling effect that simulates a picturesque sunset by the sea.

The central open bar counter allows guests to cross the barrier and observe the drink-making process, and an engulfing terracotta sofa corner awaits some personal space for a cozy catchup session.

Palm has accumulated a host of awards, including the Campari Bartender Competition Asia in 2019, beating out more than 350 competitors, and landing the Bartender of the Year by the Bar Awards Thailand in the same year. For his passion project, Palm gives the market what he thinks it’s missing.

Dry Wave has concocted a “Super Classic” line up, merging two classics into one glass, a signature menu that pays homage to the oldies while keeping things fresh.

There are blends of Mai Tai with Tom Collins and Negroni with Espresso Martini. But the 1806-1988 is certainly a highlight, combining the simplicity of old-fashioned with cosmopolitan.

Here, the music reflects the drink’s fluidity. With a tracklist that transcends from pop funk to disco, and some guest DJ sessions, this dynamic venture is sure to make a splash.

2F, Sodality Project, 263 Thonglor Soi 13. Open daily 7pm-1am.
