After a rapturous reception the first time around (Dec 20, 2012-Jan 13), GTH’s debut stage play Lam Sing Singer is to be restaged. Those who missed the romantic-comedy story of an upcountry girl who dreams of being a luk thoong superstar can catch it on Feb 1-3 and 8-10, 7pm, at the same place as before, Muang Thai Ratchadalai Theatre. Tickets are now available from Thaiticketmajor at the same prices of B500-2,500.

To celebrate the 72nd birthday, and 40th year in the Thai literature scene, of writer Wanna Sawasdisri aka “Sri Dao Rueng,” the indie stage troupe Crescent Moon Theatre are reinterpreting two of her novellas—Pab Luangta Khong Karn Plean Sappanam and Nern Ma Fueng—as one short performance. Pab Luangta Jak Nern Ma Fueng tells the story of life along the railway and is directed by Sineenart Ketprapai. The play will run Mar 27-31, 7:30pm, at the Crescent Moon Theatre (Pridi Banomyong Institute, 65/1 Sukhumvit Soi 55, BTS Thong Lo). Tickets are B350 available from 081-929-4246.
