Alternative cinema Bangkok Screening Room will be celebrating International Women’s Day with five women-driven films—many appearing for the first time inThailand—this Mar 6-8.

The second Fem Film Festival will feature five films that reflect on the struggles and accomplishments of women in business, politics, love and life. Like the first Fem Film Festival, every movie will be screened with both Thai and English subtitles.

The line-up includes Canadian Screen Award nominee Meditation Park (2018) and Daisies (1966), a new wave film about two subversive teenage girls. If you’re a fashion junkie, don’t miss Yellow is Forbidden (2018), a documentary detailing the hopes and dreams of up-and-coming Chinese dressmaker Guo Pei.
