Singapore's LGBT film festival is back this month
From biopics to romance, there is something for everyone.
From Oct 9-18, Golden Villlage is hosting the 7th Love & Pride Film Festival. The opening Film, Baby Steps, is a comedy about a Taiwanese man and his American partner trying to have a baby, while the The Imitation Game stars drool-worthy Benedict Cumberbatch as the protagonist in a biopic of gay mathemetician Alan Turing and his big WWII moment (it got Cumberbatch an Academy Award nomination).
Those interested in the world of fashion should probably check out the movie Saint Laurent, zooming in on the designer at the height of his career. Romantic types can also look forward to coming-of-age love stories in films like Summer and The Way He Looks. The festival closes with Where Pride Began, a fictional account about the pivotal Stonewall riots in New York City.
Tickets range from $10-$15.
