Selected films are categorized into five sections: Asian Contemporary, Cine Latino, Cinema Beat, Doc Feast, Short Wave and a retrospective of Thai veteran actress Jarunee Suksawas. The Cleaner (Peru). This sci-fi drama by Adrian Saba, chosen to represent Peru in the foreign language Oscar category, narrates a bizarre epidemic that hits Lima, leaving a forensic cleaner (Victor Prada) to take care of an 8-year-old boy (Adrian Du Bois). Nov 16, 23
The Isthmus (Thailand). Starring Sangthong Gate U-Thong, the story of a mother, Da, who after her Burmese maid dies, sees her 8-year-old daughter mysteriously lose her mother tongue and speak only Burmese. Nov 21, 23

Rock The Casbah (Israel). After an Israeli soldier is killed by a washing machine thrown down from a house in Gaza, four young Israeli soldiers are stationed on the rooftop of a Palestinian family to monitor the chaotic surroundings. Nov 17, 19
