Gym junkies rejoice: Virgin Active will be opening its first Asia health club right here in Singapore later this 2013.

Located at One Raffles Place, the health and fitness arm of the Virgin Group will be launching at another six locations on top of some 260 clubs already dotting the map from Europe to Australia. Sir Richard Brandson, founder of the Virgin Group said, "Most Singaporeans already know the Virgin brand and I have no doubt they will love getting fit the Virgin way."

With this in the bag, the fitness juggernaut is setting its sights to conquer the rest of the region. The Singapore branches promise to deliver the brand's best offerings and experience – one that is already being enjoyed by some 1.6 million members across the globe. With that many sign-ups, we figure they must have gotten something right. Brandson added, "At Virgin Active we help people achieve their goals and ensure they have a little bit of fun along the way."
