You'll get to play a prisoner escaping death row at the inaugural Reebok One Challenge.

Obstacle courses are all the rage these days—what with Men's Health Urbanathlon and Run For Your Lives held earlier this year. Coming up is Reebok One Challenge on July 6, which aims to take things up a notch with its unique game concept.

There's no running from zombies this time—instead, participants play "prisoners" on death row, who will have to escape their guards by circumventing a 5km long obstacle course that encompasses fitness elements like Les Mills, Crossfit, yoga and running. Prisoners are each given life tags, which may be taken away from them by roving catchers along the race route. You're deemed to have survived only if you have at least one life tag left.

The race is the first local event that's sponsored by sporting giant Reebok, so you'll get to choose registration packages that come with a pair of Reebok kicks. Plus, participants get to enjoy discounts off selected models from the Reebok ZSeries collection launched earlier this year. Early bird registration ($40-$150) is now open till May 2, and normal registration closes on June 13. Head over to the website for more details.

(Psst...if escaping from prison guards over a distance of 5km seems too strenuous a task, you can try your hand at room escape instead.)
