Is meditation getting trendy in Singapore?
Mindfulness sessions are entering the co-working spaces of Keong Saik (among other places).
Meditation is emerging from the fringes and is possibly getting trendy. First they became a regular offering at yoga studios. But now even hip co-working community The Working Capitol has meditation sessions.
Mindful Mondays, a weekly public series by The Working Capitol offers free yoga sessions and workshops in collaboration with different health and wellness practioners like Como Shambhala and Nirvana Mind. Part of its line up includes sessions happening on Jul 7 at 7:00pm and Jul 20 at 7:00am with Nirvana Mind, a local meditation community. To avoid the angst of not getting a spot for each session, you will have to register here. For more updates, follow The Working Capitol's Facebook page.
And if you still prefer a more involved, semi-spiritual affair, Tirisula has private, guided meditiation sessions which walk you through your baggage in a 60 min or 90 min session. A commitment of 10 sessions is required so opt for a single trial if you are unsure about investing a substantial amount of money on new-age counseling. Prices go from $180 or $150 for an hour at your home or their studio and $230 or $200 for an hour and half at your home or their studio. More information can be found on their website.
