Surf Set

This surfing-inspired indoor workout studio from the States is the brainchild of Mike Hartwick, a former American hockey player and long-time surfer, and combines techniques from surfing with other workout practices. There are four classes on offer: Balance (yoga-inspired workout, focusing on slow movement and balance), Burn (cardio workout, focusing on fast movement), Build (muscle building using resistance bands) and Blend (a combination of all the workout programs).

Roots 8

The owner of Cafe Bangrak, Kook Pacharawan, has founded a new yoga studio, aimed at both beginners and advanced yogis. She’s brought in her own professional Indian yoga mentor, Vivek Singh, to run the place, too. The Indian-loft style studio consists of two yoga rooms—and there’s no air-con so that your body temperature isn’t thrown out of whack. Also on-site is Yogi’s Spicy, which serves vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine.

One of the pioneers of the much-hyped clean eating scene, this food arm of the Absolute wellness empire (also known for their yoga and Pilates studios) started out as a delivery service back in 2012. With a mission of offering healthy food that also tastes yummy, the kitchen team developed a bunch of low-calorie recipes that they say are high in nutrients while free of chemicals, trans fats, artificial coloring and refined sugars.
