A three-night fitness cruise is sailing our way soon
Break a sweat on the high seas
Long gone are the days when a cruise trip equated to non-stop buffet feasting. Quite the contrary—these days, you can actually get fit and not fat on the high seas. Launching a new special-edition cruise series for the first time, Dream Cruises is setting sail with an exclusive three-night fitness cruise happening Apr 7-10.
Called Fitness Takeover, the cruise is the first of four themed cruises under the brand’s inaugural Dreamer Series, which hopes to offer unique experiences out at sea. And they mean serious business too. Genting Dream has partnered with ClassPass to bring onboard six popular fitness studios to conduct classes on the cruise: WeBarre, Yoga+, STILL Boxing, Core Collective, Impact MMA and Fit Pit. Take your pick of specially curated classes—from high intensity interval training (HIIT) to boxing, to laidback yoga sessions and aerobic Latino jam classes.
It’s the ultimate fitness buff’s getaway; but if you get tired of working out, there’re still the usual recreational options on the Genting Dream to occupy you. Splash down the six water slides, knock some pins in the bowling alley, go rock climbing, or live life literally on the edge—as you zip down the 35-meter zipline at sea that hangs 18 decks above the water. Not forgetting that this is ultimately still a cruise and not a docked ship, you can hop off to explore when the ship makes its stops at Penang and Langkawi.
Packages are available from $406 per person here, and include exclusive access to all classes via the ClassPass app. Just imagine; for the first time in your life you can actually step off a cruise looking better than when you boarded.
