The usual routine returns after the enjoyable long weekend, but hey, at least the work week is one day lesser than usual. Nu Lounge Bar

DRINK
Tiki cocktails will be taking over Capella Singapore. Over three days, Daniele Dalla Pola from Nu Lounge Bar in Bologna, Italy will be bringing to Bob's Bar his signature drinks like Kama’aina’ (medley of aged rums and tropical fruits) and Nu Mai Tai (Nu Lounge rum blend, aged Martinique rhum, orange curacao and passion fruit puree). THEATER
Nine Years Theatre's artistic director Nelson Chia reimagines two of Kuo Pao Kun's well-known plays—No Parking On Odd Days and The Coffin Is Too Big For The Hole in Cantonese and Teochew for the first time, together with two other actors, Hang Qian Chou and Tay Kong Hui. The double-bill performance, titled The Vault: Dialects & Dialectics, is being presented by the people behind Centre 42. May 5-6

PARTY
Singapore Pub Crawl is putting up a Singapore Cinco De Mayo Weekend 2017 in celebration of Cinco de Mayo day on May 5. Expect to visit three Mexican bars and one nightclub on a party bus as you enjoy tequila and other drinks at discounted prices. May 5-6

THEATER
One woman's love story in the fuzzy technoscape of Whatsapp, Facebook and Skype takes to the stage with Love Pings, an original production performed by local theatre company I AM, in which explores the crucial question: Is love in the digital world real love? May 5-6

MARKET
Leave your wallets behind, they say, because all you need is DBS PayLah!, a mobile app where you can make all your purchases at the upcoming DBS PayLah!Palooza, which boasts a gathering of over 100 vendors. Shop for all your fashion, food and lifestyle needs at SCAPE Playspace. May 5-7

Singapore Chinese Film Festival

MARKET
Students from NTU's School of Art, Design and Media are putting up their graduation show alongside a pop-up market featuring vendors like Basheer Graphic Books, Ask Tony, Just Julia and more. May 5-18

FOOD
Always wanted to try Michelin-starred and Bib Gourmand-awarded hawker food, but hated the queues? Enter The Great Singapore Food Tour - Heartland Edition—a half-day tour organized by BonAppetour that will let you skip the lines and have a taste of three of them. Tickets are $60 a pop. May 6

FOOD
Learning to cook with mummy is one fun bonding experience you can count on. Choose to do so at Dean & Deluca’s cooking workshop at Orchard Central, where head chef Nabil Tan will conduct a lesson filled with fuss-free breakfast recipes. That way, come Mother’s Day, you will be able to cook up a delightful meal for her using their bring-home starter cooking kit and ingredients—all while mum lazes in bed. May 6

THEATER
German magician and mentalist Nicolai Friedrich is making his first appearance in Singapore at the Esplanade, bringing to our shores his brand of illusionism that blurs the lines between science and mystery. Expect mind readings, spectacular stage performances and Nicolai's flair for interactivity to take centrestage. May 6

PARTY
A new pool party, questionably-named Lemonade (images of a yellowed pool, anyone?), is happening at Grand Park Orchard's Bar Canary and brought to you by cheeky party people Friends with Benefits. Let your hair down while sipping on a cool glass and as DJs Brendon P. and I.M.X helm the decks. May 6

HEALTH
If you're a partygoer who loves running, there's no better run than this; The Music Run combines both of your favorite things. For those who've always wanted to blast their music out loud while running, this is the place to do so at five zones seperating five music genres—rock, pop, old school, hip hop and dance. After the run, shake it off at a music festival with live performances and DJs. All happening at Sentosa. May 6

HEALTH
The themed run trend continues with the launch of Star Wars Run Singapore. You'll have 4.5km and 10km routes to choose from and you'll also get to decide to join the dark or light side and get the corresponding T-shirt and plush toy (Darth Vader or Yoda). May 6

FILM
The Singapore Chinese Film Festival returns for the fifth year bringing you 45 films ranging from documentaries to local selections. The line-up includes award-winning films like Mad World by 53rd Golden Horse Awards Best New Director Wong Chun, as well as Singaporean short films and restored Chinese classics. Apr 28-May 7

EXHIBITION
Local artist May Oon presents Time/Out, showcasing 14 charcoal and oil paintings on sockcloth or jute that depict the life of Chinese coolies in the 1800s and early 1900s, taking place at Goshen Art Gallery. Apr 28-May 7

Sunset Cinema Tanjong Beach, organized by the same people who do Films at the Fort, in partnership with Peroni Brewery, is having a multi-day beachside film festival over two weekends featuring blockbusters like Arrival and Jackie, alongside food by Tanjong Beach Club. May 5-14

FOOD
The Coffee Lounge at Goodwood Park Hotel may be known for its Taiwanese porridge menu, but from now till the third week of May, satisfy your love for laksa as they create six decadent and delicious renditions using homemade rempah (spice paste), other high quality ingredients and garnished with daun kesum (laksa leaves). Think laksa with crab leg, laksa in claypot form, and the like. Through May 21

EXHIBITION
The photography series "Hong Kong Shop Cats" by Dutch visual artist and photographer Marcel Heijnen has garnered quite a following since 2016. This year, the exhibition will be held outside of Hong Kong for the first time, right here at Artistry. Through Jun 4

Festival of Crabs 
MARKET
This is the last day to catch the returning Thai Festival organized by Royal Thai Embassy. Expect over 110 vendors dishing out Thai food, fruits, snacks, fashion apparels and even health products. Enjoy performances by the Bangkok Mini Groovy band while you're there and even catch Muay Thai performances and a cooking show. Spending a minimum of $20 will net you a chance to win a pair of Thai Airways tickets to Bangkok. May 4-7

PARTY
They may be two days late for Cinco de Mayo day, but Camp Kilo Charcoal Club is hosting Camp Fat Fish: Cinco de Mayo Special, where quesadillas, pork tacos and four other Mexican concoctions will be served. DJ Jnr, Lior Brosh from Tel Aviv and Orio & Roco from Fat Fish Familia are on music duty from 2-11pm. May 7

PARTY
The people at Ice Cream Sundays are collaborating with Bespoke Fitness for Ice Cream Sundays: Volume 6. It's going to be a boozy party with live music performances by Marc Wilson, Will Quinert and more, along with food vendors like Sidecar Sausages, The Sng Bao Society and Boodles Gin making their first appearance at ICS' parties. Salon de Royal, a chocolatier cafe from Kyoto that was founded in 1935 is having a pop-up store at Japan Food Town, bringing their limited-edition pecan nut flavored ice-cream that's specially made for Singapore and other popular sweets by them. Through May 31

Eitaro Ogawa and Tamae Iwasaki, the husband and wife duo and their partner, Tomohisa Miyauchi, behind the 700-page soft cover photobook, HDB Homes Of Singapore have turned their project into a photo exhibition at SPRMRKT on 2 McCallum Street.
