Pop-up yoga sessions around Singapore are a thing this month
Try blindfold yoga or zen out with a sunset session by the beach.
Previously, we got all excited about the free outdoor yoga session at Little India, which allows you to unwind with a community of migrant workers and residents. If that’s not enough to get you through this July, here are more.
Urban Yogis are back with another cheap pop-up yoga at the Marina Barrage with its scenic view and cool breeze. Be sure to make your booking online before turning up as they do not accept cash payment. Jul 16, 8-9am, $5 from Funzing. Marina Barrage, 8 Marina Gardens Dr.
Unwind after a hectic work week at this relaxing and carefree Vinyasa flow session by the beach. In celebration of their 3rd anniversary, the folks at Yoga Seeds are organizing a 90-minute Sunset Bossa Flow. Jul 16, 5.30-7.30pm, $35 here. Sunset Bay Garden Bistro, 1300 East Coast Park.
Switch up your typical brunch Sunday with a pre-meal workout at this yoga-and-brunch session at Gillman Barracks. Lead by the founder of Outta Hatha pop-up yoga collective, Ling, you can expect a deep core work out with challenging balance poses, and reward yourself after with some scrumptious bakery grub from the folks at Red Baron. Bring your own mat, towel, and water. Jul 17, 9-10am, $20 (walk-in rate, excluding brunch). Red Baron at Gillman Barracks, 45 Malan Rd.
If you can’t make it for the Marina Barrage session this weekend, Urban Yogis will also be hosting Yoga in the Dark the week after, at Farrer Road. It’s basically a blindfolded slow flow yoga and meditation session ending off with tea tasting. Jul 23, 5-6.30pm, $15 from Funzing.
