With the sounds of the 90s rock still reverberating throughout many of Bangkok’s live music venues, here’s more good news for fans of that era, as Paragon Cineplex hosts a special one-off screening of the rock n’ roll documentary Sound City directed by Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl. The project began when the former Nirvana drummer bought an analog Neve 8028 mixing console from LA’s Sound City Studios, when it closed in 2011. Back at his personal studio, he invited his artist friends including Paul McCartney, Tom Petty, Lars Ulrich and Corey Taylor to drop in and record new songs, filming it all in the process. The film will be screened on Mar 25, 7pm at Paragon Cineplex. Tickets are B150.
