The all-Asian Skechers Sundown Festival will feature Caracal and Cashew Chemists
Asian indie music fans, take note
While you were busy drooling over the Laneway news, another exciting music festival appeared on the horizon, this time with an all-regional focus. The seventh edition of the Skecher's Sundown Festival features some well-known acts from all around the region. The festival opens on Nov 21 at Marina Promenade's F1 Pit Area. This includes singer-songwriter Cheryl Loon, Cashew Chemists and Caracal's post-hardcore music.
From around Asia, expect sets from Potato, billed as Thailand's most popular rock band, and INKT from Japan, who just released their debut this year. Don't miss J-Rocks either, an Indonesian band influenced by the tunes of of Japan's rock music scene.
For those who are interested in something more obscure, check out Ground Zero, a Taiwanese indie band. The last act is Epik High from Korea, who won the "Album of the Year" and "Artist of the Year" in their homeland, South Korea.
