A new musical by Dick Lee will premiere at Resorts World Sentosa on Nov 24. Along with veteran producer and director Andrea Teo, Lee’s multi-million dollar Lightseeker centers on a mysterious character called Nova, who has the power to create a light source that will save mankind. The play will feature a yet-to-be-named international cast, including thespians from London’s West End.  “I set out to create something that combines the pace, scale and story-telling of movies with the immersiveness of live performances,” says Teo. “It has a unique soundtrack with Dick’s amazing melodies and lyrics performed by an international cast. We’ve hopefully made something really special, relevant and inspiring to modern audiences.” It remains to be seen if the production will be as big a hit as Lee’s previous productions like Beauty World, but at very least it will be entertaining.
