The Literary Centre and SMRT are now accepting entries for The Moving Words Poetry Competition, whose winners’ works will be featured on the train network.

Do you have a way with words? Know some wicked rhymes? Log on to movingwords.sg and submit your best lyrical piece to stand a chance to win an iPad 2 as well as Books Actually vouchers worth $200. The best 12 entries will also be selected by a panel of judges to go on display on the SMRT train network from Aug-Oct 2011. These entries will also be published in the Moving Words Anthology, which will be launched at the Singapore Writers’ Festival 2011.

Poems should not exceed 15 lines each, and need to be written in English, Malay, Chinese or Tamil. If it’s not written in English, the poem should be accompanied by English translation.

Competition closes on Jul 15.
