BK Weekend: What's on in Bangkok this May 19-22
Massive music fests, huge house parties, gallery-hopping night and the return of some much-missed markets—the long weekend is here.
The people behind five of Bangkok's popular bars, galleries and shops, including Studio Lam, Soul Bar, Q&A, Cho Why and Machine Age Workshop, team up for a massive house party, promising live music from the likes of Paradise Bangkok Molam Band, Michael and the Lowdowns, DJs Maftsai, Tul and Pump, and much more.

Join San Francisco-based DJ Fred Everything for a night of quality house music while a group of international artists from Japan, New Zealand and Canada exhibit their original artworks that will be up for sale on the night.

A three-night festival celebrating the city's diverse creative music and arts culture featuring acts from local musicians, performance artists, DJs, food and craft beer. Expect everything from spoken word poetry to live music from bands like Triggs and The Longest Day, DCNXTR and Degaruda.

A night of live music and art installations inspired by the concept of lucid dreams and sleep paralysis. DJs Photosynthesis and Damon Rider will be taking over the decks with techno and experimental beats, while visual artists Rapat and Nawin create live art.

The popular pop-up market brings together celebrity stalls, the biggest Instagram fashion vendors and some great local designers, this time under the theme "The Garden of TFest" that promises a great afternoon of shopping. Expect hundreds of stalls tot ake over the grounds of Fragant Park, and they'll be there every weekend through Jun 12.

A massive outdoor market under the theme of "Summer Sale Paradise" which brings hundreds of booths selling trendy beachwear, summer accessories and clothes from local designers.

The team behind Bangkok's Kolour parties return for another huge event, this time spanning across two venues for both daytime and nighttime dancing and drinking. Expect plenty of tunes from the Kolour Team, including DJs Alex Fischer, Koish, Boris Rubin, Sunju Hargun, Coran, Dan Buri and more, plus plenty of gourmet food and drinks.

An evening celebrating the 75th birthday of the legendary singer-songwriter Bob Dylan and the best of his music from the past five decades. Expect live music from the Bob Dylan tribute band The Medicine Mixers with various guest performances.

One of the biggest music festivals in the country dedicates itself to all the single people out there. Having traveled around the country, Single Festival 2 lands in Bangkok with three massive stages where 17 of Thailand's favorite bands will will perform, including Big Ass, Potato, Stamp, Getsunova, Lomosonic, Sqweez Animal, 25 Hours and many more.

A night celebrating Bangkok's independent performing art talents, featuring a live art installation from artists Hannah Theodorou and Sazibimol Nipatkusol, a film screening of the 2011 action film Limitless, spoken word poetry and stand up comedy performances, plus live music from DCNXTR, Unda and The Voodoo Asylum.

Five acclaimed female Thai directors select international films to be screened bi-monthly from May-Nov. This month sees the screening of The Pearl Button (Chile, 2015) directed by Patricio Guzman and chosen by Soraya Nakasuwan, the acclaimed director of Final Score and Rahtree Sawasdi. The screening will be followed by a post-screening talk and Q&A session.
