SPECIAL SCREENINGS: Dream Empire
David Borenstein' 2016 documentary follows a 24-year-old rural migrant who arrives in China's Chongqing to pursue her "Chinese Dream." There, she opens a scamming real estate agency that uses actors to turn remote Chinese ghost towns into temporary international booming cities, tricking customers into buying highly overpriced properties.

SPECIAL SCREENINGS: Cultural Studies Film - Stop Making Sense
Jam's monthly cultural studies session hosted by cultural researcher and author Viriya Sawangchot screens Stop Making Sense, a live concert film of Talking Heads directed by the late Jonathan Demme. Screening starts at 8pm and will be followed by a discussion.

NIGHTLIFE: Spacejam
The Zaap party team throws a brand new music festival dedicated to EDM, future bass and trap, featuring beats from international DJs Headhunterz, Jauz and Shapov amongst the huge lineup.

NIGHTLIFE: Stray
The British DJ from Exit Records makes his Bangkok debut to spin drum 'n' bass with support from local DJs Azek, Instinct, DeLorean, Pichy and Will. Open bar from 9-11pm.

GIGS: Fungjai Fung Jun Ep. 2
Music zine Fungjai hosts a night of live music featuring performances from Telex Telexs, Sole, River Rhyme and Yellow Fang. Tickets available at all 7-Eleven branches around the city.

ART: Reframed
Argentinan/American artist Micaela Marini Higgs' series of analogue collages reassembles images cut from Thai magazines into surrealist scenes.

FESTIVALS: Super Summer Sound 2017
A brand new arts and music festival combining the works of local and international artists with the sound of electronic trance music, including a live performance from the hit '80s British duo Underworld.

NIGHTLIFE: Swindle
The British DJ and producer spins futuer hip-hop, funk and bass with support from DJs Sweed & Bunnyman and DJs Noxro and Foresto in the Dalmation room.

NIGHTLIFE: Mela Our Last Dance
Bid farewell to Dark Bar before it permanently closes down at the end of May with a party featuring music from resident DJs Krit Morton, Kova O'Sarin, Munta Morton, Jirus Gimmie,404, Funkpheno and Bass Youth.

GIGS: Degaruda The Farewell Show

FAIRS: Soi Nana Craft and Jumble Sale
Residents of the hip Soi Nana open up their shophouses for the return of the yard sale which invites everyone in the area to buy and sell goods ranging from vintage clothing, furniture, original art, to homemade food.

SPORTS: Sup & Sup Yoga Back on Board
Try out the brand new yoga trend that challenges you to do yoga on a stand up paddleboard upriver of the Chaophraya, beyond Koh Kret where the water’s not such a worrying shade of murk. Incorporating aspects of surfing, SUP yoga is said to require a little more focus on your core than regular yoga, while also posing a challenge mentally if you want to avoid taking a quick dip.
