THEATER: Gruesome Playground Injuries

CONCERTS: Hostess Club Bangkok
Calling all indie-heads: the Japan-born music festival Hostess Club arrives in Bangkok for the first time this week at GMM Live House, featuring a killer lineup of international names from Belle and Sebastian to The Thurston Moore Band and Caribou. Check out the video for a preview.

Seven artists transform the old walls of the Chinatown townhouse next to the tapas bar El Chiringuito into colorful pieces, and create new artworks, for a three-day flash art exhibition in celebration of the Year of the Goat.

GIGS: Printemps Digital in Bangkok with Stylish Nonsense & Kota Taki
Yannick Barman is back at Jam with his sound/visual art collective, and is joined by electro duo Stylish Nonsense and Japanese electric guitarist Kota Taki for an evening of experimental, improv and a cinematic audio feast. Tickets are B150 with one free drink.

ART: Chinese New Year Gallery Hopping Night
Still don’t know where all the cool galleries are? Explore the Silom/Charoenkrung art scene under the guidance of indie-art crowd insiders on the Chinese New Year Gallery Hopping Night this Feb 20. They’ll be visiting 13 of the city’s coolest galleries, including Jam, Bridge, Cho Why and Soy Sauce Factory, for art shows, talks, drinks and music. Check out the latest updates here. SALES & FAIRS: Nylon High Street Festival
Nylon magazine also hosts a flea market/music festival over the weekend at Central World, with lots of celebrity stalls and Thai designer brands like Vickteerut and lalalove as well as online brands Pomelo, Zalora and over 130 more. Live performances from 5pm onwards by Plastic Plastic, Slur, The Jukks and Polycat.

NIGHTLIFE: Kolour in the Park with Sven Vath
This 12-hour, open-air music festival doesn’t just feature one of the world’s best DJs, Sven Vath of Ibiza’s Cocoon, but also gourmet food by Water Library and Lady Brett, and even a lake to go swimming. It all happens out of town at Pathum Thani on Saturday, Feb 21, when 2,000 partygoers descend on the Thai Wake Park for Kolour in the Park. Check out the video to see what the crew is all about.
