Ultra Singapore 2017, taking place from June 10-11, is just days away and you’re all hyped up. Only one problem—you don’t know what to expect. Even festival veterans might appreciate a refresher or two, especially as this year’s revelry is expected to be bigger, badder and, dare we say, more Ultra than ever. Ready? Here we go.

First up, do your homework

You don’t want to miss acts that you have bought your ticket for, so make sure you find out who is performing on which of the two festival days. Legendaries Tiesto and Hardwell, for instance, will be making their appearance at the Ultra Mainstage on Saturday, while Singapore’s Sam Rui and Jasmine Sokko are up on the Live Stage on Sunday. Know which acts are a must-catch for you and plan ahead.

Know your way around

Following from the first point, make sure you are headed to the right stage. There are a total of three stages—the Ultra Mainstage, Live Stage and Resistance—each offering something completely different. So know where to head to in advance. Come early

It may be an EDM festival, but the party starts early here. It starts from noon, in fact, and goes on all the way till 10:30pm (officially, anyways). Plus, you will want to enter the festival grounds early in order to feel your way around first, know where your favorite food and drinks stalls are, where’s the nearest washroom, as well as designate a gathering point in case you have lost your crew. Mobile signal is likely to be spotty, by the way.

Beat the heat

Being out in the open in Singapore’s heat is no joke. Do lather up on sunscreen (bring more if you have to) and drink lots of water, not just beer. Alternate between the two if you have to and stay classy. While the scorching heat is likely to raise tempers, remember that this is a festival, so keep the chill vibes flowing.

Leave your baggage at home

Not figuratively, but literally. Bags are not allowed on the premises save for small bags made of clear plastic, clear vinyl, or clear PVC not exceeding 13”x17”. Fanny packs and small clutch bags are acceptable too. On that note, items such as outside food and drinks, professional cameras, umbrellas, water guns and selfie sticks are prohibited as well. Just come light.

Eat, drink, be merry

If you’re worried about staying fueled, leave those concerns at the festival gates. Food and drink options are abundant. Muchachos will be offering their crowd-favorite burritos, tacos, tortillas and more; Shiso will have you fed with skewers, gyozas and dons; while you can count on Swiss Butchery for roast beef, cup corn and sausages. Beers, bottled water and soft drinks will be offered by various vendors too. Oh, and remember to bring cash or plastic to top up your RFID wristbands.

Keep the party going

Ultra has to officially end at 10:30pm due to its outdoor location, but that doesn’t mean the party stops there. The Ultra Singapore Official After-Party takes place just a hop away at the South Crystal Pavilion (where Avalon used to be), with tickets going at discounted prices for all Ultra Singapore partygoers.
