[Sponsored] Singapore's first nighttime relay marathon, ASICS City Relay flags off on Aug 1 at 6pm at the Singapore Sports Hub. Even if you have never run a marathon before, here are at least four great reasons to sign up for this one.

1. It's a race...and a party. Zouk's resident DJs will provide an inspirational soundtrack to your run. From 7:30pm, it'll be DJ Matthew's hip hop set, followed by DJ Zushan spinning house at 9:30pm.

2. You can run a marathon for a quarter of the work. You don't have to be an Ironman/Ironwoman to participate in ASICS City Relay. It's a four-person relay marathon, so just grab three other of your running buddies, colleagues or classmates and train up to run 10km each. Register here now. It's $290 per corporate team and $210 per student team.

3. The views are incredible. Singapore is a runner's dream, with great sidewalks, leafy parks, park connectors, riverside paths and lovely views to inspire you on long runs. The ASICS City Relay, for example, has a gorgeous route: it starts and ends at the Sports Hub and makes its way along the Kallang riverside, past Tanjong Rhu Promenade, Central Grove, Gardens by the Bay and the Tanjong Rhu Bridge. Plus, it's at night, so not only will it be nice and cool, but the attractions will be all lit up.

4. There's a fancy new store to shop at. Suntec City just got an experiential ASICS specialty store (#02-476) with fancy Foot ID technology that measures your foot structure and studies your running gait before recommending the right pair of shoes for you. Nothing like a new set of kicks to inspire you to get training.
