Post-rock instrumental band has just dropped their second album, with soulful numbers like “The Happy Ending Is You” and more edgy stuff like “While We Sleepwalk”. The album is on sale now at Roxy Records, and digital downloads will be available from Feb 6 on their website. The album launch party is on Feb 6, 8pm, and they'll be playing alongside local bands Cut Out Heroes and Sleeveless. Tickets are $10 (entrance) and $20 (entrance + album) at the door.

This home-grown soul/jazz/hip hop trio will be releasing their debut instrumental EP The Astral Journey on Jan 30, featuring the singles “The Astral Journey” and “Daydream”. Seeing Sounds by Felix Phang & The Imaginary Forces

Singaporean jazz composer Felix Phang is putting out his debut album on Feb 10, in collaboration with The Imaginary Forces, a 10-piece jazz ensemble. Check out the wonderful horns on the song “A Thousand Li of Rivers”, inspired by a Song Dynasty painting, and the vocals of singer-songwriter Dawn Wong on “Sing it to Grandma”.
